About Me
About Me
My name is Chris Woollard. I am a keen supporter of Free & Open Source Software (FOSS). I am also a strong advocate of Ubuntu and can almost always be found helping with the development of this project.
At present I am an active member of the Ubuntu Manual Project. My main role is as a writer and editor. In addition I am now helping with the development of the Ubuntu Developer Manual.

My other interests include reading (mostly technical) books. I am never truly happy unless I am learning something new.
Now for my real job…
I am a Live Systems Engineer for the Greater London Authority. I am responsible for mostly web-based applications that run on either Apache HTTP server (Drupal), Apache Tomcat with either MySQL or an Oracle back-end.
The future
In the past I had my own show on a local community hospital radio station. This has now stopped due to the hospital closing down the radio station. Now I am working on starting up my own bi-weekly podcast similar to that of Linux Outlaws and Ubuntu UK Podcast. It may take me a while to decide on the format of the show. So keep an eye out for that.
